Information centre
Make the Information Centre at Kingsbury Water Park your first port of call and you can get friendly advice and information to enable you to enjoy your day out.
We stock information leaflets on all the activities taking place in the parks, as well as maps to help you find your way around.
Gift Shop
Our Gift Shop stocks a wonderful selection of countryside related gifts, toys, souvenirs and books at very reasonable prices. We are continuing to expand our range of sustainable or locally sourced items, particularly from local crafts people.
Things to do at Kingsbury Water Park
Adventure Play Area
The Adventure Playground at Far Leys, within the Park, is completely fenced round, and is a safe area for children to play. There is a second Play Area for younger children near the Information Centre.
Bird watching
With 230 recorded species of bird from common garden birds to extremely rare sightings, the bird life offers interest to all our visitors. Whether it’s a glimpse of Kingfisher or a passing Osprey, you never know what you may see.
There are 4 birds hides from where you can look out for these birds, 3 of which are accessible by wheelchair / pushchair. They overlook Cliff Pool Nature Reserve giving great views across the purpose built islands, wader scrapes and reed beds.

Children's Clubs
Kingsbury Kingfishers Wildlife Explorers
Wildlife Explorers is the junior section of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Our group aims to involve and inspire children through a fun, enjoyable mixture of outdoor and indoor activities, games and projects. Find out more here.
- First Saturday of every month | 1:45pm – 4:00pm
- Aimed at children aged 8 – 12 years
- Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
- £1 for RSPB Wildlife Explorer members; £1.50 for non-members.
Tame Valley Tawnies Phoenix Group
RSPB Phoenix is the teenage section of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Our group aims to involve young people in the environment, while developing their leadership skills through a fun, enjoyable mixture of outdoor and indoor activities, games and projects. Find out more here.

- Aimed at young people of secondary school age and above.
- £1 for RSPB Phoenix members; £1.50 for non-members.
Walking at Kingsbury Water Park
There are many surfaced paths providing easy access for pushchairs, wheelchairs, children, the elderly and those less able. Other unsurfaced woodland paths are there to explore.
Three new waymarked routes are now available to explore, each one being approximately 1.5 miles long, so pick up a map from the Visitor Centre and enjoy the views.
Dog Walking
Dogs are welcome at Kingsbury Water Park. Dogs must be kept on a lead in Visitor Centre courtyards, in car parks and in designated picnic areas. Dogs are not permitted in any of the play areas.
Cycling at Kingsbury Water Park
There are many miles of surfaced paths around the site, and the more adventurous can cycle on the bridleway around the southern perimeter of the Park.
Big Franks cycle hire
Cycle hire is available weekends and Warwickshire school half terms from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., (weather permitting).

Miniature Railway at Kingsbury Water Park
Echills Wood Railway is one of the regions popular visitor attractions. The railway runs a variety of replica standard and narrow, seven and a quarter inch gauge steam, diesel, electric locomotives and trams on a 2 km line running through some of the 600 acres of the park.
Open every Sunday, Bank holidays, Special events and additional Wednesdays and Fridays during Warwickshire school holidays. Visit the Echills Wood Railway website or watch videos of the railway on YouTube.
Running at Kingsbury Water Park
3-2-1 project
There are running routes at the park marked with Run England discs as part of the 3-2-1 project. Find your route here.
3-2-1 is Run England’s project which aims to provide a range of marked running or jogging routes across the country that anyone can have a go at.
Park run
Parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.
Kingsbury Jet Bike Centre
The centre is situated in the 600 acre grounds of Kingsbury Water Park, one of the biggest lakes in the Country dedicated to personal watercraft. Visit the Kingsbury Jet Bike centre or telephone 01827 826252 (Thursdays to Sundays Only) for information.
Orienteering
Come and try orienteering! Run or walk around using a large scale specially drawn map. All ages 5 – 85 are welcome, especially families. Bring a compass if you have one.
A permanent orienteering course and mapsl is available at Kingsbury Water Park. For more details visit the Warwickshire Orienteering Club website Octavian Droobers.

Toilets
We now have a new Changing Places Toilet at the Broomey Croft entrance. Visitors needing access can borrow a RADAR key and a barrier pass from the Visitor Centre at the main entrance. Both must be returned to the Visitor Centre afterwards.
